Eric Blumencranz is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Business and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1991. He holds FINRA Series 6, Series 63, and Series 26 licenses, as well as Life, Accident & Health, Variable Life/Variable Annuities Resident & Broker licenses in NYS. Mr. Blumencranz is a holder of non-resident insurance licenses in most other states and is Long Term Care certified.
As Managing Director of NFP, an Aon company in Plainview, NY, Mr. Blumencranz manages the firm’s life insurance practice. He has operated the Sports & Entertainment life insurance practice and has been engaged in providing life insurance for professional athletes and business professionals, providing contractual benefit guarantee, keyperson, deferred compensation, estate planning and supplemental retirement benefits.
Mr. Blumencranz currently serves as a member of the Northwell Health System Board of Advisors and serves as Vice Chair of the Regional Insurance Company, Hamilton, Bermuda, and is a member of Finance Committee, Pension Committee, and Committee on Quality. He also serves as Chair of the Nassau County Police Department Foundation and was integral in the planning, designing, construction and private funding of the newly completed Nassau County Center for Law Enforcement & Intelligence. Mr. Blumencranz serves as a member of the Nassau County Police Department Exploring Board. He is General Counsel of the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association Legal Services Fund and an owner and Managing Director of F6 Labs and the Institute for Homeland Security and Training (IHST).
Mr. Blumencranz is a member of the Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House of Metro New York and serves as Chair of the Governance Committee, as well as a member of the Finance , Audit Committees and Capital Campaign Cabinet Committee. He was an inaugural member of Molloy College’s Energeia Partnership and appointed as a “Long Island Trustee Class of 2006”.
